Technology Club
The Technology Club is an important part of the technology offerings at Newburyport High School, featuring a venue for hands-on work with computer hardware and software, as well as a flexible environment where students can explore their interests in technology.
This year, the Tech Club met twice a week throughout the school year. On Tuesdays, the club met in the classroom environment to discuss technology––its past, present, and future. These meetings also included the assembling of computers. Students participated in choosing the components for the new computers, which were then purchased with the donation from the NEBC. Using these parts, the Tech Club assembled ten operating computers to be deployed within the school system. Fridays of each week were dedicated to LAN gaming using computers to develop a team atmosphere and cooperative behavior.
